Final Ultrasound

So today was our last growth check ultrasound and the start of my weekly office visits. I'm currently 35 weeks and 3 days and he weighs 6 pounds 4 ounces, putting him in the 75% percentile. His heart rate was 150, my BP was 120/82 and I've once again lost weight. I'm not dilated or effaced at all yet (which is normal). But because he is so big already she says she doesn't want me to go more than 4 more weeks - b/c at a 1/2 pound a week weight gain (the average) that puts him at 8 1/2 pounds in 4 weeks and that is PLENTY big enough. 

But here's three pics from the ultrasound. The first is a profile, the next two are 3D. He kept putting his fingers in his mouth and the left side of his face in the 3D pics is partially hidden b/c he was cuddled up to the placenta. It was REALLY cute. 

Short Update

So I had my 33 1/2 week OB appt on Monday and everything looks good. For the first time ever I appear to have gained a whole couple pounds. The baby's heart rate was 160, my BP was 128/80, and everything else looked great. 

They wanna see me back in 2 weeks, which will start my weekly appointments that I will have until the baby gets here. So at 35 1/2 weeks they want to do another growth check ultrasound, my first pelvic since they confirmed the pregnancy, and check for Group B Strep (lots of women are carriers and it has no effect on them but it can kill a baby so they check for it and if you've got it they make sure and give you antibiotics when you go into labor so the kid doesn't catch it). 

Its just really weird to realize I have a maximum of 5 OB appointments left. I'm not complaining mind you. Its just kind of ... whoa. But I am definitely feeling ready to be done with this whole pregnant thing b/c right now the third trimester is FULLY living up to its reputation as the "uncomfortable trimester". I'd like to have my body back soon thanks. But not too soon, he needs to cook for at least another 4-5 weeks. But after that... no need to wait, just come on out and let your momma get a look at ya.
